Can The FTC ‘Big Blogger’ Be A Good Thing?
EQUTE — Everyone in the Internet marketing and advertising business has talked a lot about new Federal Trade Commission guidelines, now people are starting to see the FTC crackdown as a good thing — possibly.

I always thought that the new FTC guidelines could be a boon for the industry in general, possibly trimming the fat and adding more legitimacy to our profession. Others share my belief, and do so quite eloquently.
Blogger Sean Carton over at ClickZ said that the FTC isn’t ruining the party, just getting a better guest list.
While some have decried these new rules by calling the FTC “Big Blogger” and have cried over the unenforceability and unfairness of these rules, I think they’re a fantastic idea that we, as marketers, should be celebrating.
Carton went on to say that the new changes will help create much-needed transparency and put the kibosh on companies that participate in payola schemes and the publishers that profit.
It’s pretty easy to churn out content, but finally there is a legal reason to churn out good, reliable content.
